Cleanness is the base success of medical procedures. Without appropriate cleanness of instruments is possible to move infectious diseases like HIV or youndice. Also procedures such as placement of implant or bone reconstruction are impossible to achieve without well-preserved hygiene. That’s why all tools that we use are soaking by two hours and next clean in disinfectant- Sekusept. Than the instruments are rinsed in water. They must be dry before packing into combination paper/plastic pouches. After sterilization tools remain in packages until use. Sterilizing is made in steam autoclave, made by Italian company Tau-clave. Two types of processes employ steam under pressure. The difference between the two is the manner in which the machine evacuates the air from sterilization chamber and then introduces the steam. The combination of pressurization of the chamber steam and high temperature for a prolonged period has the ability to hill virtually all microorganisms. Sterilization eliminates hepatitis virus and HIV.

Security assurance

Combination plastic/paper pouches have a special pointers which confirm appropriate sterilization. But the use of biological monitors (spore tests) is the most reliable method to validate that the sterilizer is functioning and that the sterilization of instruments is effective. These monitors consist of paper stripes impregnated with bacteria spores that are specifically resistant to the sterilization process. Next the paper strips are controlled by epidemiological-sanitary inspection. Our surgery receives positive results every month. You can see the copy of these results in waiting- room ; they are added to the price list. To ensure safety of sterilization, autoclaves are shared into classes: T, S and B. Our autoclave has got a highest B-class which has not demanded in Poland. During each operation we use disposable latex gloves, which are changed when it’s necessary; disposable clothes and surgical kerchief.

In our surgery works ventilation which successfully removes contaminated air after each operation. Equipment which can’t be sterilize in autoclave such as units, lamps, door handles are cleaned by a special preparation Aerodesin (made by German concern Lysoform GmbH) .
