Inlay is a permanent prosthetic filling, which reconstructs fractured tooth or tooth with the damaged crown. It is a steel dowel placed into the radix canal and imitates grinded tooth.

Over a cemented filling a crown is put or this filling can become a bridge abutement. Due to using a filling even the radix itself can be used to reconstruct the tooth.
